Festo, an industrial control and automation company based in Germany, has links with universities, institutes and development companies through their Bionic Learning Network program. They are using this to explore ideas and initiatives which go beyond the core business of automation and didactics and may lead to future products and product areas, currently these projects involve their new line of pneumatic actuators.
Some of these projects are the Aqua Jelly, the Aqua Ray, Airic’s_arm, and the Airacuda which are showcased in this video.
Windows 7 security will have even tougher security

Scott Charney, Corporate VP of Microsoft, goes into some detail as to how Microsoft's OS security improves with the Windows 7 release.
In case you haven't heard the Windows 7 release candidate is set for May 5th, which leads some to speculate that a full OS for the public to purchase will be available in late Fall 2009. I've got my hopes up now so they better not push this targeted release date back.
